Negril Bay Jamaica vs. Acapulco Mexico for college spring break 2010?

I am a college student trying to figure out where to go for spring break this year. I have heard good things about both Negril Bay and Acapulco, but I am not sure which one is best. I am looking for a nice beach, lots (and lots) of other college aged kids doing the same stuff I am (partying, relaxing, and having a good time) while being in a safe place. Do you have any alternative suggestions?
